Health & Wellness
Our dining program makes it easy to eat well, so you can focus on everything else our campus has to offer.
Food You Love, Fuel You Need
Eating well shouldn’t be a challenge, no matter how packed your schedule is. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a meal with friends, you’ll always find fresh, wholesome food that makes eating well simple.
We believe good nutrition should be easy and enjoyable. Our menus are designed with balance, flavor, and convenience in mind, so you never have to choose between eating well and loving what’s on your plate.

A dedicated and trained staff member will serve you from this station with a clean plate each time.
This station is AllerCheck certified, indicating that it follows the proper processes and procedures to minimize the risk of cross-contact and serves menu items prepared with verified ingredients. The True Balance station is audited by an independent agency at least once per year.
How We Support You
Our team will work with you to navigate your options, ensuring you have access to meals that fit your needs. Follow these steps to get started:
Complete the Accommodation Request Form
First, students must complete and submit the Accommodation Request Form as well as the Informed Consent to Release Confidential Information: Allergies Form, which will allow the DSO to share food/environmental allergy documentation/information with KU Dining/the KU Nutritionist.
Submit Documentation
Third, once the DSO receives and reviews the student’s Accommodation Request Form, Informed Consent to Release Confidential Information: Allergies Form, and sufficient supporting documentation, the student will then receive an email from the KU Nutritionist to schedule a meeting to discuss the request. During a scheduled meeting, the KU Nutritionist will see how the dining hall can meet your needs and information will be passed along to KU Dining Hall Staff. Following the meeting, the KU Housing & Dining will relay the accommodation determination to Disability Services Office and the student.
Meet with Campus Dieititan
Second, students must submit documentation to support their request for an accommodation for a residence hall with access to a kitchen/a request for an exemption to the meal plan requirement. Documentation guidelines can be found below. Documentation can be uploaded on Accommodate with your request form or once you have signed in to your account, sent to the DSO via email at DSO@kutztown.edu, or faxed to the DSO at 610-683-1520.

*Although we take great lengths to accommodate students with food allergies, we prepare food in open kitchens where cross contact with foods containing allergens may occur and we rely on our suppliers ingredient listings and may not be aware of ingredients contained in the food, but not listed on the container or packaging. As such, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment
